- Field survey of the 2024 Noto Earthquake
2024年能登半島地震の現地調査
Following urgent reconnaissance survey in Noto Peninsula in January, together with partners from Nagaoka University of Technology, we conducted field survey in Uchinada, a town in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
能登半島地震に対して、1月の緊急地盤災害調査を続けて、石川県金沢市近く内灘町で現地調査を実施しました。調査チームには長岡技科大の池田先生や志賀先生、学生たちが参加しました。

- New Year Relay Race
駒場リサーチキャンパス新春駅伝大会
There was a New Year Relay Race in Komaba resreach campas.
We participated four students , staffs and proffesers.
Kiyota lab team was 10th place out of 24 teams.
Hori-san (M2) was placed 10th in the individual category.
2024年1月15日に6年ぶりとなる駒場リサーチキャンパス新春駅伝大会が開催されました。
過去最多？となる総勢24チームが参加し、豚汁とコーンスープの無料配給もあり当日は多くの観客で賑わいをみせました。清田研究室からは学生4人に加えて、職員、教授も参加しました。
チーム順位は10位でしたが、個人部門ではＭ２の堀さんが10位に入賞しました。

On Deceｍber 23th , we held one-day seminar in 2023 winter semester!
2023年度冬学期のOne-day Seminarを開催しました。
セミナー後はクリスマスパーティーを開催しプレゼント交換など多いに盛り上がりました。
- Joint seminar in Hokkaido
合同ゼミ(北海道)
There was a joint seminar with the National institute of Technology Gunma College, Nagaoka University of Technology and Muroran Institute of Technology.
群馬高専、長岡技術科学大学、室蘭工業大学と合同でゼミを行いました。
初日は室蘭工業大学さんにお邪魔して発表会を行いました。（写真1）
”地震防災”という分野の中で、”地盤”や”建築材料”といった異なる視点からの意見交換を行うことにより知識や見聞を広めることができました。
その後、洞爺湖周辺の宿泊施設へ移動し、お座敷セッションおよび懇親会を通して交流を深めました。

２日目には、洞爺湖ビジターセンターで有珠山噴火当時の建物被害の様子や被災経験談を伺い、防災に関わるものとしての社会的意義や責任の重さを実感しました。（写真4）
企画してくださった室蘭工業大学の皆様ありがとうございました。

- Joanne (D3) received Presentation Award from JGS
Joanneさんが地盤工学会から優秀論文発表者賞を受賞しました
Joanne was recognized by the Japanese Geotechnical Society for her prensetation on the Effects of Soil Density and Fabric on SPT and Vs Measurements in a Calibration Chamber, at the 58th Japan National Conference on Geotechnical Engineering.
Joanneさんが第58回地盤工学研究発表会において優秀論文発表者賞を頂ききました。発表タイトルは「加圧土槽を用いた密度と土粒子構造がN値とS波速度にもたらす影響評価」です。

- 17th Danube-European Conference of Geotechnical Engieering in Romania
第１７回ドナウ－欧州地盤工学会議(ルーマニア)
Osawa (M2) attend the 17DECGE and made a presentation, titled ‘Performing of Shaking Table Tests for Evaluation of Liquefaction Mitigation Effect of Log Pile Soil Densification Technique by Adopting Various Improvement Width Below a Low-rise Structure’. Kiyota sensei and Nikolay also particpated in this conference.
大澤さん(M2)、清田先生とNikolayさんがルーマニア土質工学会主催の国際地盤工学会議17DECGEに参加しました。大澤さんが砂質土地盤への丸太圧入による液状化対策効果の検討に関する研究を発表しました。
- IIS Open Campus and party
生研公開と打ち上げ
On June 9 and 10, we had an open campus .
Many visitors came to our labolatory and we explained about our research activities.６月９日と10日の２日間にわたって生研公開が行われました。たくさんの方にご来場いただき，清田研での研究活動について説明をいたしました。（写真１，写真２）
打ち上げでは，昨年まで当研究室で助教を務めていた志賀先生や，志賀先生の新しい赴任先である長岡技術科学大学の学生さん，さらにはOBOGの方々も参加して楽しい交流の時間となりました。（写真3，4）
- Prof. Kiyota received the Balushev Award by the Bulgarian Society for SMGE
清田先生がブルガリアにおいて第一回Balushev Awardを受賞しました
Kiyota sensei was selected as the first winner of the Balushev Award, established by the Bulgarian Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and the Department of Geotechnics at the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy (UACG) in Sofia. The Award is named after Prof. Balush Balushev, the founder of geotechnics in Bulgaria. On June 12th, Kiyota sensei delivered an honorary lecture during the award ceremony at UACG.
清田先生はBalushev Award第一回の受賞者に選ばれました。ブルガリア共和国の地盤工学会では、同国の土木・地盤工学の第一人者であるProf. Balush Balushevにちなんで名付けられた特別賞が設けられています。清田先生が6月12日にソフィア・UACGで開催された授賞式において、特別講演（Balushev Lecture）を行いました。
